Environment

Italpak will:

  • Be aware of, and comply with, all relevant environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Communicate and promote awa reness of relevant environmental issues to all employees, and ensure they are trained to fulfi l their responsibilities.
  • Seek continuous improvement in our environmental performan ce by setting of environmental objectives and targets.
  • Consider environmental impact in our selection and use of raw materials, new products, processes and plant.

What this means to our costumers:

We believe that a company that adheres to a sound environmen tal policy improves not only it’s own environment, but also becomes more effi cient. Staff work in a healthier workplace and with materials carefully selected to help them. This allows the daily work to proceed with less stress, which makes it easier to achieve our quality standards with good efficiencies and at a cost-effective price.

What this means in reality:
  • All materials are selected with a view to the environment. Of course, most of our raw mate rials are recyclables, but the articles you will receive from Italpak are either almost 100% recycled or manufactured from sustainable processes.
  • In this way we can assure you of our commitment to providing an environment for the future.
  • Whenever possible inks, pastes and peripheral supplies are brought to minimise their im pact on the environment.
  • Machines are bought for their energy effi ciency, as well as their production effi ciencies. Construction is made to reduce heating emissions and costs. In an environment where noise pollution is a real problem, machines are also selected on the basis of this pollution value.

Waste Materials: printed and unprinted waste is kept separate and collected for recycling.

Ink: Waste ink is returned to the manufacturer. All ink tins are stored and collected by the ink manufacturer - no empty tins are allowed to go in the general waste.

Nowadays the companies are more than ever evaluated according to their ethic and social behaviours, and not only to the economic ones. More and more often, the customers’ choice is based not only on the opportunity of profit, but also on moral acceptability.

We have decided to commit ourselves also in the social side, because we deeply feel this growing need.

We don’t want to be only packaging producers, but also responsible people, playing an active part in the social work. Since many years, we assign a part of our income to humanitarian and social projects, through reliable organisations, and we constantly look after their activities and results.
